Within the Government's Ongoing Efforts to Enhance Service Quality and Re-engineer Government Services... Survey and Land Registration Bureau Develops the Survey Office Selection Service

As part of the government's continuous efforts to enhance service quality and re-engineer government services, the Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) has developed the Survey Office Selection Service, a digital service that enables property owners, or their authorized representatives, to select a licensed survey office and request quotations for surveying services, allowing them to choose the most suitable offer through a competitive process. The service contributes to accelerating transaction completion, improving the efficiency and quality of surveying services, and enhancing the overall customer experience.

Under the enhanced service, the process has been fully digitized with a 100% electronic transformation, while the service level agreement (SLA) has been reduced by at least 25%, and the application process has been streamlined to three simple steps. The service is now completed instantly online, compared with an average processing time of four working days previously.

On this occasion, H.E. Eng. Bassem bin Yaqoob Al Hamer, President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, stated that the service reflects the Bureau's commitment to adopting innovative digital solutions that improve operational efficiency, enhance the user experience, and simplify procedures. He added that the initiative forms part of the Bureau's ongoing plan to strengthen the surveying services ecosystem and further develop and re-engineer government services, thereby supporting digital transformation and improving the quality and efficiency of services provided to beneficiaries.

His Excellency further noted that the enhanced service helps reduce the time and effort required by institutions, increases operational effectiveness, and reinforces the Bureau's commitment to strengthening its partnership with private survey offices, recognizing them as key partners in advancing the surveying sector and improving real estate services. This is achieved by engaging them in service development and benefiting from their expertise to promote integration between the public and private sectors.

He also emphasized that the Bureau continues to develop its services based on a methodology focused on simplifying procedures, leveraging digital technologies, and improving customer experience, in line with the government's vision of delivering more efficient, high-quality, and sustainable public services. These efforts contribute to improving operational performance, increasing customer satisfaction, creating a more competitive and efficient service environment, accelerating transaction completion, and enhancing the reliability of services provided to the real estate sector.

It is worth noting that, as part of the government's ongoing efforts to develop and re-engineer public services, more than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published. Of these, over 800 services have undergone development and re-engineering across various government sectors, based on suggestions and feedback received through the National Suggestions and Complaints System (Tawasul), investors' feedback, and mystery shopper reports evaluating government services. In addition, guidance manuals and service level agreements have been introduced to improve procedural efficiency, enhance service quality, strengthen customer experience, and support the Kingdom's digital government transformation journey.
