President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau: Showcasing the Latest Digital Initiatives and Interactive Services that Support Housing Projects and Promote Efficiency and Transparency in the Real Estate Sector

The Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) participated in the Social Housing Innovation Conference and Exhibition, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center from April 23 to 25, 2025.

On this occasion, His Excellency Eng. Bassim bin Yaqoub Al Hamer, President of the SLRB, affirmed that the Bureau’s participation aligns with its commitment to implementing the pillars of the Government Action Plan, which aims to enhance quality of life and provide suitable housing for citizens. The participation also aimed to showcase the latest digital initiatives and interactive services that support housing projects and contribute to greater efficiency and transparency in the real estate sector. He highlighted the importance of adopting innovation as a fundamental approach in addressing housing challenges and extended an open invitation to all stakeholders—including real estate professionals, contracting companies, and financial institutions—to embrace innovation in the development of sustainable housing solutions. Such an approach, he noted, invigorates the sector and brings a spirit of renewal and dynamism.

His Excellency explained that the SLRB's pavilion at the exhibition highlighted a selection of advanced digital real estate services in line with the government’s vision of providing smart, integrated services. These included the electronic registration service, and the "Taakkad" (Verify) service, which has attracted over 5,700 users within just two months of its launch. The pavilion also featured the Daily Transactions Report, which provides a comprehensive record of all transactions handled by the General Directorate of Real Estate Registration. This report is available on the Bureau’s official website and is aimed at enhancing transparency, accuracy, and accessibility to real estate data. An interactive corner was also set up to display actual samples of title deeds and verification documents, giving visitors the opportunity to directly engage with and explore the features of these services.

He further noted that the exhibition included a system developed by the Bureau that enables accurate identification of property locations. This system features a "street view" capability that allows users to view the property and its surroundings as they appear in reality. It was used to present live models of housing projects by Eskan Bank, offering visitors an interactive experience that simulates the urban landscape of housing developments. This reflects the Bureau’s comprehensive strategic vision to achieve full digital transformation across all its services, in alignment with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, which aims to build a smart and advanced society that provides modern, sustainable housing environments that meet citizens’ aspirations.
