President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau: Delineation of Pioneering Digital Initiatives and Interoperable Services that Augment Housing Projects and Catalyze Efficiency and Transparency within the Real Estate Ecosystem

 

The Survey and Land Registration Bureau actively participated in the Conference and Exhibition on Innovation in the Social Housing Sector, convened under the august patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may Divine Providence safeguard him, at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre during the period spanning 23 to 25 April 2025.

 

Within this ambit, His Excellency Eng. Basim Yacob Al Hamer, President of Survey and Land Registration Bureau, underscored that the Bureau’s engagement is inextricably intertwined with its unwavering adherence to the imperatives of the governmental program, which aspires to ameliorate the quality of life and to provision suitable domiciliary accommodations for the citizenry. Furthermore, the Bureau’s involvement aspires to meticulously showcase the latest vanguard digital initiatives and interactive functionalities that substantively underpin housing projects and precipitate elevated strata of operational efficiency and institutional transparency within the broader real estate framework. His Excellency cogently accentuated the quintessential necessity of enshrining innovation as a paradigmatic ethos in the management of housing dossiers, simultaneously extending an unequivocal entreaty to all cognate entities — most saliently, operatives within the real estate continuum, contracting conglomerates, and financial institutions — to assimilate innovation as an indispensable lodestar in the conception and realization of sustainable residential paradigms, thereby imbuing the sector with an ever-renewing cadence of vitality and transformative dynamism.

 

Moreover, His Excellency elucidated that the Bureau’s pavilion constitutes an exposition of an assemblage of hyper-contemporary digital real estate services, consonant with the overarching governmental trajectory towards the deployment of synergistic and intelligent service delivery models. Amongst these avant-garde services are the electronic registration platform; the “Takkad” verification service — which, within a remarkably abbreviated timeframe of merely two months post-launch, has amassed an excess of 5,700 users; and the quotidian transaction report, an instrumentality designed to furnish an exhaustive chronicle of all real estate registration proceedings, thereby fortifying the pillars of transparency, precision, and facile data accessibility. This report is rendered publicly available via the Bureau’s official digital portal. Additionally, an interactive enclave has been curated to exhibit authentic exemplars of ownership deeds and certification documents, facilitating direct experiential engagement by visitors and thereby enhancing their comprehension of the manifold advantages inherent within these services.

In a concomitant vein, His Excellency accentuated that the exhibition incorporates an indigenous system, meticulously engineered by the Bureau, which empowers users to effectuate highly precise spatial identification of real estate assets and is distinguished by the incorporation of a “street view” modality — a feature that enables the verisimilitude exploration of properties and their contiguous environments. This technological apparatus has been operationalized to display dynamic simulations of Housing Bank initiatives, thereby affording visitors a phenomenological and interactive approximation of the urban configurations of said projects. His Excellency concluded by emphasizing that this holistic orientation encapsulates the Bureau’s overarching strategic ethos, oriented towards the consummation of an all-encompassing digital metamorphosis across its operational architecture, thereby harmonizing with the desiderata of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 — a national ambition to engender a perspicacious, avant-garde society characterized by contemporary, sustainable, and citizen-centric residential milieus.
