The Public Relations and Media Department at the Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) announced that the volume of real estate trading in the first quarter of this year 2016 amounted to about BD 268,193,996 (Bahrain Dinars two hundred sixty-eight million, one hundred ninety-three thousand, nine hundred and ninety-six), which represents a decline of about 6% compared to the quarter that preceded it, the fourth quarter of 2015, which amounted to BD 286,818,759. 

The following table shows the value of real estate transactions made by Bahrainis, GCC nationals and foreigners during the period from January to March compared to the quarter that preceded it, i.e. the fourth quarter of 2016:
