The Survey and Land Registration Bureau has announced its participation in the eighth edition of the Bahrain Smart Cities Summit 2025, which will be held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, on April 15–16, 2025 at the Sheraton Bahrain Hotel.

In this context, His Excellency Eng. Basim Yacob Al Hamer, President of Survey and Land Registration Bureau, affirmed that the continuous organization of the Bahrain Smart Cities Summit for the eighth consecutive year reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain’s ongoing commitment to promoting sustainability and creating a modern urban environment that meets the aspirations of citizens, in line with the principle of humanizing cities.

His Excellency pointed out that the summit comes at a time when Bahrain’s real estate sector is witnessing a comprehensive urban renaissance, demonstrated through numerous major national projects and initiatives that reflect the Kingdom’s dedication to adopting cutting-edge technological solutions in the development of cities, buildings, and residential and commercial complexes—enhancing its competitiveness at both regional and global levels.

He added that the Bureau will present two papers during the summit: the first titled “Artificial Intelligence Systems and Urban Change Detection in Smart Cities”, and the second titled “Innovative Solutions in Land Registration Management.” These papers align with the government’s strategic direction toward comprehensive digital transformation in public services, with the aim of ensuring easy and transparent access to services for citizens and residents.

Eng. Basim Al Hamer emphasized that the Bureau will continue its efforts to deliver innovative solutions that meet the expectations of citizens, residents, and investors. He also stressed the importance of embracing modern technologies and AI applications to position the Kingdom of Bahrain at the forefront of leading nations in this field.
