The Survey and Land Registration Bureau Celebrates Bahraini Women’s Day
On the occasion of Bahraini Women’s Day, which falls on December 1st, the Survey and Land Registration Bureau organized a celebration for its female employees, in appreciation of their efforts and direct contributions to enhancing work development and improving the efficiency of real estate and surveying services. The event was held in the presence of His Excellency Engineer Basim bin Yaqoub Al Hamer, President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau.
On this occasion, His Excellency Engineer Basim bin Yaqoub Al Hamer expressed his pride in the growing role of Bahraini women, affirming that their active presence in decision-making positions reflects the attention and support they receive from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may God protect him, as well as from the directives of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, which continue to empower women across various fields of national work.
His Excellency also highlighted the role of the Supreme Council for Women, chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, may God protect her, in strengthening the presence and empowerment of Bahraini women across different sectors.
Al Hamer emphasized that women at the Bureau have demonstrated exemplary performance in various specialties, contributing effectively to leading developmental initiatives that positively impacted performance levels and supported the digital transformation process. He noted that supporting female talent is a constant institutional approach and a key element in enhancing the Bureau’s competitiveness and driving national progress.
For her part, Mrs. Diana Faisal Sarhan, Director General of Resources and Information Systems and Chairperson of the Equal Opportunities Committee, expressed her pride in what the Bureau’s female employees achieve year after year. She pointed out that women’s participation today in the real estate and surveying sectors has become a distinguished presence, translated into tangible achievements and strategic projects that elevate service levels and meet customer expectations.
Sarhan explained that the year 2025 witnessed significant steps to enhance the status of women within the Bureau, including the appointment of several women to leadership positions, reflecting the Bureau’s commitment to advancing women’s progress and expanding their institutional participation. She added that the year also included specialized training programs from which female employees benefited across various areas of professional and administrative development, contributing to raising their competencies and strengthening their active role in leading projects and initiatives within the Bureau.
She affirmed that celebrating Bahraini Women’s Day represents an acknowledgment of their national journey and a reaffirmation of the commitment to enhancing their role in sustainable development, supporting them in continuing leadership and innovation within the Bureau’s future plans.
