Survey and Land Registration Bureau Organizes a Two-Day Workshop for Surveying Offices to Enhance Quality and Strengthen Audit Procedures
The Survey and Land Registration Bureau organized a two-day workshop for private surveying offices, aimed at improving the quality of surveying work and enhancing audit procedures. The event saw the participation of 17 private surveying offices.
In this context, Engineer Naji Sabt, Director General of the General Directorate of Survey at the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, emphasized the importance of activating strategic partnerships with the private sector to drive continuous development and achieve the sustainable development goals of the real estate sector. He noted that the Bureau’s team has held over 27 workshops to exchange views and suggestions with stakeholders in order to create a smooth and trustworthy real estate work environment that enables fast processing within the legal and regulatory framework of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
He added that these workshops will continue with the goal of raising the quality standards of work in surveying offices and strengthening auditing mechanisms prior to transaction submission, in line with the approved systems and standards for property surveying—whether for preparing survey certificates or property ownership maps—ensuring the highest service quality.
The workshop also aimed to raise awareness among professionals in the surveying sector about key systems and procedures, helping them avoid violations and errors. This, in turn, supports increased efficiency in completing survey transactions according to the highest approved standards, enhances overall performance, and ensures timely completion of transactions.
Participants were also briefed on key performance indicators and timeframes for various types of survey transactions, and were involved in shaping the evaluation framework developed by the Survey Directorate. This framework will be used to assess surveying offices based on the latest performance statistics.
The Bureau also presented highlights of an upcoming project to survey and update unsurveyed properties in older areas and markets, along with some of its digital transformation initiatives. These aim to create a comprehensive and accurate national 3D mapping database by leveraging the latest geospatial technologies to provide detailed information. The project is a fundamental tool for supporting resource management and developing Bahrain’s national infrastructure.
