08 July, 2026 Survey and Land Registration Bureau Develops the Private Survey Offices Management Service
As part of the government's ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of public services and re-engineer service delivery, the Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) has developed the Private Survey Offices Management Service, a digital service designed to automate the management of private survey offices' operations by transforming manual processes into a fully digital workflow management system. The service enhances operational efficiency, accelerates processing times, and enables private survey offices to electronically submit, track, and manage their requests through to the issuance of the required survey certificates and maps.
Under the enhanced service, the processing time has been reduced from five working days to just one working day, while the service workflow has been streamlined from four main stages to only two. Through the new system, transactions are electronically assigned to private survey offices, allowing survey work to be completed and submitted digitally. As a result, the service has achieved 100% automation, and the application process has been reduced from four steps to a maximum of two, significantly improving procedural efficiency and expediting service delivery.
On this occasion, H.E. Eng. Bassem bin Yaqoub Al Hamer, President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, stated that the development of the Private Survey Offices Management Service reflects the Bureau's continued commitment to enhancing government services through business process re-engineering. He noted that the initiative aligns with the Government of Bahrain's digital transformation strategy by simplifying procedures, accelerating service delivery, and providing more efficient and higher-quality government services.
His Excellency added that the service further strengthens the Bureau's partnership with private survey offices, which serve as key partners in the implementation of surveying activities, by providing an integrated electronic platform for managing and monitoring their work. This contributes to faster processing, greater transparency, real-time tracking of requests and implementation stages, improved quality of outputs, simplified work procedures, and enhanced efficiency across the real estate sector.
It is worth noting that, as part of the government's ongoing efforts to develop and re-engineer public services, more than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published, with over 800 services undergoing development and business process re-engineering across various government sectors. These improvements were based on suggestions and feedback received through the national proposals and complaints system "Tawasul", investors' observations, and secret shopper reports evaluating government services. In addition, guidance manuals and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) have been introduced to improve procedural efficiency, enhance the quality of government services, strengthen the customer experience, and support the Kingdom's digital transformation agenda.
