The Bahrain Property Developers Association (BaPDA) organized a special reception to honor His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau on his undertaking the newly instituted position of Honorary Chairman of BaPDA. The event to welcome His Excellency Shaikh Salman as the Honorary President was held at the Four Seasons Hotel on the 7th November 2016, and was attended by VIPs and dignitaries including the Minister of Works, high-ranking officials from the Electricity and Water Authority and Ministry of Works and leading property developers, as well as all Board Members and members of BaPDA.

Mr. Aaref Hejres, Chairman of BaPDA, delivered a speech in which he expressed his appreciation to His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, thanking him for his support to property developers in general and to the Property Developers Association in particular, praising the role of His Excellency in overcoming obstacles that property development projects may face.

“The real estate industry in Bahrain is honored to have the support of His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and we are extremely proud to welcome him into our midst as the Honorary President of BaPDA. We look forward to his shrewd leadership that will give new direction and energy to achieving BaPDA’s vision and mission of supporting and contributing to the real estate industry in Bahrain and the region. We thank him today for his presence, which has sent a strong signal of the vitality and progressive nature of the real estate sector, and served as an inspiration and a motivation for greater progress”, Mr. Hejres added.

Mr. Hejres highlighted the role of BaPDA as a leading non-profit organization. BaPDA has demonstrated a real commitment to its vision to have positive impact on the industry and the national economy in general. BaPDA has evolved to become an effective forum and platform for the real estate and property development sector.

H.E. Shaikh Salman bin Abdulla Al Khalifa said that the real estate sector is a major contributor to economic growth and development. As a driving force for the real estate industry, BaPDA has demonstrated a commitment to effectively support efforts to rejuvenate the property sector. The sector and its mega projects help meet the housing needs of citizens, as well as providing jobs.

His Excellency praised the role of the Association in facilitating the exchange of views and coordination of efforts to promote positive relations between all the parties concerned with property development.

He said that it is good to see everyone working together to achieve our common desired goals that were set by our wise leadership and which we are all responsible and committed to implement. These goals are intended to elevate the status of homeland and all citizens and residents.

Mr. Faisal Al Faqeeh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of bin Fakeeh Real Estate Investment Company, presented a commemorative gift to HE Shaikh Salman bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Honorary President of the Society.

The Bahrain Property Development Association (BaPDA) is a non-profit organization established in 2010 with a vision to become the Kingdom’s recognized property development association. BaPDA aims to enhance infrastructure services, cooperation, fair trade practices and integrity among its members, while providing a platform for members to liaise with government authorities in formulating best practice policies related to the industry.

The Board of Directors of BaPDA is chaired by Mr. Aaref Hejres, with Dr Hassan Al Bastaki of Manara Development, as Vice Chairman, Mr. Maher Al Shaer of Diyar Al Muharraq as Treasurer and Mr. Yasser Al Sharrah of Blue Water Investment as Executive Secretary.

BaPDA has organized, sponsored and participated in regional and international meetings, seminars, conferences, exhibitions and forums to promote the property development industry in Bahrain. BaPDA is committed to deploying all its resources to serve the Bahraini society and enhance the development of Bahrain's infrastructure, environment and social and cultural growth.
