23 May, 2011 HE Head of SLRB Receives Deputy Chairman the UK Hydrographic Office

HE Shaikh Salman bin Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Head of Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB), received in his office, Captain Jamie McMichael-Phillips, Deputy National Hydrographer , UKHO and Mr. Jeff Bryant Capacity Building Manager, UKHO, who are currently in a visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The visit aims to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the SLRB, Bahrain, and UKHO, to exchange visits and experiences. HE Chairman of the Bureau welcomed the delegation and praised the close strategic relations between the two countries in various fields, particularly cooperation and coordination between the Bureau and UKHO.
The delegates were briefed on the latest developments and achievements of the Directorate of Marine Survey of SLRB in the areas of marine surveys. The delegation also toured the Directorate and examined the latest equipment.
HE Shaikh Salman bin Abdulla Al Khalifa presented a Commemorative plaque to the Deputy National Hydrographer , UKHO, on the occasion of their visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. In turn, the UKHO delegation, which is the official worldwide provider and distributor of hydrographic services and digital maps, presented a book of the latest global marine navigational charts to HE the Head of SLRB. At the conclusion of the meeting, the visiting delegates praised the warm reception and expressed their thanks to His Excellency the Head of the Bureau and all officers and staff.
