23 May, 2011 Quality Awareness Sessions conducted at SLRB
In the course of steps and stages aiming at the implementation of the Quality Control Project announced by H. E. Shaikh Salman Bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa, Head of Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB), on Tuesday March 16, 2010, Ernst & Young (E&Y), project developer, has coordinated quality awareness sessions with Quality Control Department for all SLRB staff. Sessions have been delivered in groups and in both English and Arabic over a week.A special session has been designed and intended to managers, directors general and advisors and attended by representatives from the Civil Service Authority's Policy, Planning and Quality Department where lecturer Soha Abu Taha, E&Y quality control system consultant, gave a historical overview on the outset of international quality control practices and phases and changes thereto up to the ISO 9001: 2008 standard currently adopted worldwide. Afterwards, she clarified key items and themes of quality control and responsibilities of the respective department, resources management, delivering products and / or services, measuring, analysis, enhancement and methodologies of operations, relations and connections among them.Other points discussed included nature, importance and benefits of quality to SLRB.Participants have been conveniently and positively responsive to the material offered. Many questions, inquiries and comments were given much to the richness of the session.
