H.E. Shaikh Salman Bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa, Head of Survey and Land Registration Bureau received, on Tuesday 11the of December 2007, Vanessa Lawrence the Director General and Chief Executive of UK’s Ordnance Survey who is on a visit to Bahrain as a key speaker in the Middle East Spatial Technology Exhibition and Conference (MEST 2007). The visit has been in respond to SLRB invitation – a key participant in MEST 2007 organized in Bahrain from 10 -12 December 2007 by the Bahrain Society of Engineers.

During the meeting, they discussed the distinguished friendly ties linking Britain and Bahrain and the potentials of a broader joint cooperation and coordination and exchange of visits, expertise and information between Bahrain’s SLRB and UK’s Ordnance Survey

The meeting was attended by H.E. Shaikh Muhammed bin Khalifah Al Khalifah, Director General of Resources & IS, Mr. Sabt Salim, Director General of Survey  , and Engineer Khalid M. Al Ansari, Director of Cadastral Survey Directorate and Engineer Waheed Ahmed Maher Director of Topographic  Directorate.
