As part of his keenness to encourage employees to obtain training opportunities that positively reflect on their professionalism, work environment and improvement of performance, H.E. Shaikh Salman Bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa, Head of Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB), has recently honored 35 of SLRB employees for completing an IT training course. The program was conducted in cooperation with the University of Bahrain under an agreement signed earlier between SLRB and the University to provide a series of training courses and specialized workshops for SLRB employees. HE Head of SLRB awarded certificates to employees who passed the course at SLRB headquarters in Manama.

HE Shaikh Salman expressed his satisfaction with the good level of SLRB employees in terms of competency and training. He valued the efforts exerted by employees during the training and their successful completion of the IT course, HE extended his appreciations and thanks to University of Bahrain for its cooperation and organization of such courses which will benefit employees and reflect positively in their occupational performance and enhance productivity, and hence provide better services for citizens.

The training course, which was organized in collaboration with UoB, aimed at raising employees skills in basics of computer and qualify them to obtain ICDL certificate to raise employees' proficiency in IT skills that they need at the workplace. The three-session course included basics in some computer applications while observing individual differences to accomplish the required objectives to use computer programs..

Amal Ar-Rees, IT system assistant researcher and trainer at the University, assumed training. Training included Windows application, along with Word and Excel. The University has recently honored employees who completed the course successfully.

The ceremony was attended by H.E. Shaikh Muhammed bin Khalifah Al Khalifah, Head of the Human and Financial Resources Department, Mr. Yusuf Al-Ammari, Director of Technical Affairs Directorate, and Yusuf Al-Muhaimaid, Acting head of SLRB Public Relations and Information.
