31 March, 2010 SLRB has published Issue No 1 of the periodical Newsletter “Survey and Property”
The Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) published the first issue of “Almasaha Wal Aqar Survey & Property” – as its first periodical Newsletter published by SLRB and the first publication for the Public Relations & Media Section.
The Newsletter’s editorial reports the word of His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Head of SLRB where he praised this new publication stating that:
"I am really delighted for the publication of Survey & Property Newsletter which is a fundamental step to foster constructive and fruitful communication and cooperation to realize success and excellence and maintain our good reputation as the Bureau is key service provider in our beloved Kingdom".
HE Shaikh Salman added in his editorial statement, "The Bureau has recently witnessed a number of developments that has taken place in many of its sections and directorates. The most recent is converting paper maps to e-maps as well as the electronic exchange between various SLRB’s sections in one hand and Land Registration and Survey Directorates on the on the hand. This contributes to facilitating and expediting the processing of transactions for citizens. Moreover, these developments have been extended to include staff professional development program as staff member regularly attend training courses that enhance quality at the workplace and hence provide better services for citizens".
In the editorial statement, the editing team mentioned that: "The notion behind publishing this newsletter is to extend the internal communication channels amongst SLRB staff members and document their efforts, bring their news and services out to the public. Furthermore, after joining the Survey and Land Registration in one directorate, this has added new tasks, projects and services that need to be monitored, followed-up and publicized as well. Through this newsletter, we will try to publicly communicate SLRB mission and its contributions; directly in terms of registering citizens and customers’ properties, and indirectly through contributing to the national development process. The Bureau significantly contributes to the economic development through the provision of services to citizens and the protection of real-estate proprietorship as well as to the development of Bahrain through the protection properties ownership records."
The Newsletter comprises several sections; these includes the general report on the actual financial results for properties traded in the Kingdom of Bahrain during the first half of 2005, a section for media coverage to the event of “Honoring Senior SRLB’s Employees” , “Land Registration News” and “Survey News”, and an interview with Mr. Yousif Al-Ammari , Director of Technical Affairs Directorate. The Newsletter also includes other sections such as “Legal Corner” written by Mr. Abdul dhaher Nassar, the Legal Advisor to the Head of SLRB; in addition to a corner entitled: “From the Archive” – a historical profile about SLRB. The newsletter also devotes a page to the staff societal news and another page to demonstrate a pictorial reportage of one of the heritage houses in Bahrain. There is a special page for ceremonies and appointments within SLRB, and information related to Bahrain’s astronomical and geographical locations mapped by the Topographic Survey Directorate and many other distinctive topics.
The Newsletter was prepared by Media and Public Relations Section in 12 colored pages, with HE Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Abdullah Al Khalifa the General Supervisor; Mr. Yusuf Ahmed Al Mahmeed Acting Head of Media and Public Relations Section, Editor in Chief, and the editors team comprises: Aiysha Ghareeb Senior Media Specialist, and Abdullah Almannai Senior PR Specialist, Hassan Abdul Malek , PR Specialist.
