Chairman of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau Meets with Participants of the 11th Cohort of the Prime Minister’s Programme for the Development of Government Cadres

His Excellency Engineer Bassem bin Yaqoob Al Hamer, Chairman of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, affirmed the prominent role played by the Prime Minister’s Programme for the Development of Government Cadres in preparing national competencies and enriching their expertise through exposure to various government experiences and practices. This contributes to enhancing their readiness to support the development of the government work system and advance the Kingdom of Bahrain’s comprehensive development process, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, and the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

This came during His Excellency’s meeting with participants of the 11th cohort of the Prime Minister’s Programme for the Development of Government Cadres, during their field visit to the Survey and Land Registration Bureau.

His Excellency the Chairman briefed the participants on the role undertaken by the Survey and Land Registration Bureau in regulating and developing surveying and land registration activities, as well as managing real estate, surveying and geospatial data. He highlighted the importance of such data in supporting numerous government services and projects and enhancing the integration of information among relevant entities, thereby contributing to greater efficiency in government procedures and services.

During the visit, the programme participants were also introduced to the history of surveying and land registration in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which spans more than a century, as well as the various stages of the Bureau’s development over the decades. They were also briefed on the evolution of the title deed, including the transformations it has undergone in terms of its format and content, methods of data preservation, and document issuance, culminating in the electronic title deed and the advancement it represents in the mechanisms for issuing, preserving, and providing access to documents and their data for beneficiaries.

The participants also learned about the Bureau’s key projects and initiatives, as well as the technologies, systems, and applications used in the fields of surveying, land registration, and geospatial data. They were briefed on their role in supporting digital transformation, streamlining procedures, enhancing the accuracy and reliability of data, and improving the quality of government services and outputs.

His Excellency Engineer Bassem bin Yaqoob Al Hamer highlighted the importance of providing government cadres with opportunities to learn about the experiences and areas of expertise of various government entities. Such exposure broadens their understanding of the government work system and enhances their ability to connect different sectors and services, thereby supporting a culture of integrated government work. He emphasized that continued improvement in government performance requires strengthening teamwork, exchanging expertise and knowledge among entities, and promoting the values of innovation, excellence, and responsibility that characterize the Team Bahrain spirit in serving the nation and achieving its aspirations.

For their part, the participants of the 11th cohort of the Prime Minister’s Programme for the Development of Government Cadres expressed their thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Chairman of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau. They affirmed that the visit enriched their knowledge of the surveying and land registration sector, its stages of development, and the role of modern data and technologies in supporting digital transformation and advancing government services in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
