As Part of Government Efforts to Enhance Service Quality and Re-engineer Government Services
Survey and Land Registration Bureau Launches Survey Audit Offices Workflow Management Service

As part of the government's ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of public services and re-engineer government processes, the Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) has developed the Survey Audit Offices Workflow Management Service, a digital service designed to automate the operations of survey audit offices handling surveying transactions. The service aims to ensure greater accuracy in the review process while accelerating the completion of surveying transactions.

Under the enhanced service, procedures have been streamlined from four steps to only two by fully automating the service workflow and enabling the electronic review and preliminary approval of surveying works and cadastral maps. As a result, the service completion time has been reduced from three working days to just one working day. In addition, all required documents have been eliminated, paper-based forms have been replaced with electronic forms, the Service Level Agreement (SLA) has been reduced by up to 25%, and the overall customer experience has been improved through simplified procedures.

On this occasion, H.E. Eng. Basim bin Yaqoub Al Hamer, President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, stated that the development of the service reflects the Bureau’s commitment to adopting innovative digital solutions that enhance the efficiency of government services, improve the quality of procedures, and expedite the completion of surveying transactions, thereby supporting Bahrain’s digital transformation agenda and delivering a more efficient customer experience.

His Excellency added that the service enhancement demonstrates the Bureau’s ongoing commitment to continuously improving the quality of its services by re-engineering procedures and leveraging modern technologies to reduce time and effort, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver more flexible and effective government services. He noted that the redevelopment of the Survey Audit Offices Workflow Management Service followed a comprehensive review of its procedures, given its high demand, with more than 6,609 applications received during 2025. This necessitated the re-engineering of its processes to better accommodate the volume of requests, improve service efficiency, and enhance the quality of services provided to surveying offices.

It is worth noting that, as part of the government's continuous efforts to improve and re-engineer public services, more than 1,300 government services have been documented, translated, and published. Of these, 800 services have undergone development and process re-engineering across various government sectors. These improvements were based on suggestions and feedback submitted through the National Suggestions and Complaints System "Tawasul", investors’ feedback, and reports from the Secret Shopper Programme for evaluating government services. Furthermore, service guides and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) have been introduced to enhance procedural efficiency, improve service quality, strengthen customer experience, and support the government's digital transformation journey.
