14 October, 2025 The Survey and Land Registration Authority participates in the National Tree Week.
On the occasion of the National Tree Week, launched by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Excellency Eng. Basim bin Yaqoub Al-Hamar, President of the Survey and Land Registration Authority, emphasized that this national occasion reflects the wise leadership’s commitment to environmental preservation and the promotion of environmental sustainability, through supporting initiatives that contribute to increasing green areas across the Kingdom.
His Excellency pointed out that the National Tree Week represents an opportunity to instill a culture of planting and caring for trees, considering them a fundamental element in achieving environmental balance and reducing carbon emissions, in line with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s vision and its ambitious goals to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.
He further explained that the Survey and Land Registration Authority is keen to support national efforts aimed at raising environmental awareness and encouraging cooperation among various entities and institutions to participate in afforestation initiatives and the conservation of natural resources. He affirmed that preserving the environment is a shared national responsibility that contributes to sustainable development for future generations.
His Excellency concluded his statement by emphasizing the importance of continuing these efforts and initiatives to enhance quality of life and preserve the beauty of Bahrain’s environment, calling on everyone to actively contribute to tree-planting campaigns and to act with a sense of responsibility toward the environment and society.
