The Equal Opportunities Committee at the Survey and Land Registration Bureau held its concluding meeting for the year 2025 under the chairmanship of Ms. Diana Faisal Sarhan, Director General of Human Resources and Information Systems and Chair of the Committee. During the meeting, the committee reviewed the initiatives and programs achieved in the areas of empowerment, training, and enhancing women’s participation in decision-making positions.
Ms. Sarhan noted that 2025 witnessed clear steps toward empowering women within the Bureau, with the appointment of two female directors out of three newly appointed directors, in addition to the promotion and change of job titles for several female employees to include three female heads of sections, two female heads of groups, and a Senior Land Surveyor. This reflects the Bureau’s confidence in women’s capabilities and administrative competence.
In the area of training and professional development, female employees recorded a notable presence by participating in 318 training programs totaling 2,235 training hours, representing 41% of all training programs, with a 100% participation rate among female employees. This highlights the level of investment in female talent and the commitment to developing their professional skills.
Women also played a prominent role in support departments such as audit, quality, and communications, contributing effectively to improving performance efficiency, developing quality systems, and strengthening internal and external institutional communication. This helped ensure business continuity and enhance the level of services provided.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Ms. Diana Sarhan emphasized the importance of continuing to support the principles of gender equality and empowering Bahraini women, as well as transforming competencies into influential leaders capable of making a meaningful difference.
