His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, was represented by Lieutenant General His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, to inaugurate the advanced research vessel "Al-Masaha 2050," in the presence of several distinguished officials.

The inauguration of the advanced research vessel comes within the framework of the national strategy of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, aiming to develop a reliable national data system that contributes to supporting strategic decision-making and serves economic development programs.

On this occasion, His Excellency the Minister of Interior expressed his pride in the achievements of the development and modernization journey led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the revered King, may God protect him, with the support and guidance of the government under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him. He affirmed that the security enjoyed by the Kingdom of Bahrain represents a fundamental pillar for investment projects and advancing sustainable development goals within the government program.

His Excellency noted that the inauguration of the research vessel "Al-Masaha 2050" is part of the use of the latest modern systems and technologies supported by artificial intelligence, highlighting its role in monitoring and protecting the marine environment, enhancing navigational safety, and supporting sustainable development.

He further explained that Bahrain is a safe and attractive environment for local and foreign investments, given its flexible and stable legislation, while also emphasizing the development of mechanisms that support the national economy through preserving natural resources, enhancing marine stock, and implementing programs that ensure a safe marine environment.

On another note, His Excellency Eng. Basim bin Yaqoub Al-Hamar, President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, affirmed that under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Bahrain continues to implement sustainable development and infrastructure projects that contribute to comprehensive growth across various sectors.

He explained that the vessel's inauguration represents a key milestone in the Bureau’s qualitative transformation, through the development of a reliable national data system that supports strategic decision-making, serves economic development programs, and aligns with the government program 2023–2026 and Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.

The "Al-Masaha 2050" project is part of efforts to enhance the exploration and management of marine sands, ensuring optimal use of these natural resources. It also supports the real estate sector as one of the kingdom’s most important non-oil sectors, attracts investments, and encourages effective partnerships with the private sector in developing infrastructure projects.

The inauguration ceremony included the screening of a documentary highlighting the more than 100-year journey of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, showcasing key milestones and developments that contributed to strengthening the national surveying system and supporting development in Bahrain.

Attendees were also provided with a detailed briefing on the vessel’s equipment and technical capabilities, which include the latest depth surveying and geophysical survey systems, advanced laboratories for seabed analysis and monitoring of sand deposits. This enables updating the national database of marine resources with high precision. The vessel serves as an integrated platform for innovation and scientific accuracy, equipped with 3D surveying systems, high-precision positioning devices, ocean current measurement systems, and tidal data analysis, all integrated with artificial intelligence technologies for real-time data analysis and decision support.
