SLRB President His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa received on Sunday 29 November 2015 in his office MP Jalal Kadhem Al Mahfouz and Mrs. Fatima Abbas Al Qatari, Municipal Council member, the representatives of the second constituency of the Northern Governorate.

During the meeting, His Excellency welcomed MP Jalal Kadhem and Councilor Fatima Al Qatari, stressing the keenness of SLRB to remain in contact with the members of the House of Representatives and Municipal Council, listen to their views and suggestions and work with them for the good and benefit of the homeland and its citizens.

Issues and topics that concern the northern governorate in general and the second constituency in particular were discussed. His Excellency praised the role of the House of Representatives and the work of MPs in law-making and oversight over the executive branch, considering that such meetings enrich the democratic process and strengthen cooperation between the executive and legislative branches.

For their part, MP Jalal Kadhem Mahfouz and Mrs. Fatima Al-Qatari thanked His Excellency for his warm welcome and his keenness to keep in touch with them, support them and for the government's interest in enhancing the role of members of the Council of Representatives and municipal councils in various fields for the benefit of the homeland and its citizens.
