14 April, 2016 Topographic Survey Directorate Receives a Group of Students from Khawla Secondary Girls School
The Topographic Survey Directorate of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) received on Wednesday 12th March 2014 a group of students from Khawla Secondary Girls School to show them the procedures of survey operations and the survey work of the Directorate. The students were briefed on the work of the Directorate including the issuing of topographic maps of all types and sizes. The briefing included information about local and global maps as well as the updating of maps through conducting field surveys that cover all the changes that occur on the ground surface and turning it into graphic and spatial data. The students were also briefed on how to update aerial maps through the use of aerial photography and the marine maps issued by the Marine Survey Directorate.
On this occasion, Director of Topographic Survey Directorate Engineer Waheed Ahmed Hadi said that this visit was part of a program that includes a series of other visits and represents a manifestation of the policy of SLRB towards partnership with public and private institutions in the Kingdom.
