13 April, 2016 Survey and Land Registration Bureau Conducts an Emergency Evacuation Drill at its New Building
The Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) organized an evacuation drill in coordination with the General Directorate of Civil Defence of the Ministry of the Interior on Wednesday, 6th November 2013. The evacuation drill was preceded by an introductory awareness lecture to explain safety procedures and how to carry out the evacuation exercise. The exercise was part of an effort to raise awareness and ensure the safety of staff and workers at the Survey and Land Registration Bureau in times of crises and emergency situations. The evacuation was completed successfully and it proved the high quality and efficiency of the safety system in SLRB, the speedy communication with the Civil Defence Directorate and the quick response of the said Directorate.
The lecture was given and evacuation supervised by Assistant Second Lieutenant Mohammed Salman, the supervisor of evacuation operations at the General Directorate of Civil Defence. The lecture was attended by about 34 male and female employees and workers of SLRB, and it included a number of different topics, all related to evacuation procedures, emergency situations, disasters and all kinds of incidents, as well as other related information. The drill included the evacuation of more than 300 employees and 30 visitors. The organization of the awareness lecture and evacuation drill come as a result of the keenness of SLRB on training its staff on evacuations and to test and practice the coordination of actions in emergency situations.
His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director General of Resources and Information Systems presented a certificate to the lecturer Assistant Second Lieutenant Mohammed Salman and to Engineer Iman Isa Makly for their efforts which made the evacuation process a success. His Excellency the Director General of Resources and Information Systems also thanked the Ministry of Interior represented by the Director General of Civil Defence and all Civil Defence employees for their support and assistance in carrying out the evacuation exercise.
