16 May, 2012 His Excellency President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau Signs a Marine Survey Cooperation Agreement with the US Navy
The President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and Admiral Timothy Gallaudet, Chief of Staff of US Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command, signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of marine survey between the Land Survey and Registration Bureau of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the US Department of Defense. The agreement is a renewal of a previous agreement signed between the two parties in 2011.
The agreement provides for joint cooperation between the two sides in the field of marine survey, exchange of technological information and training of personnel on the latest equipment and systems in this field, in addition to exchanging the latest satellite images and the exchange of experiences in the field of marine survey.
His Excellency thanked Admiral Timothy Gallaudet and all the members of the American side for their cooperation, and wished to have further cooperation and coordination between the two friendly countries.
For his part, Admiral Timothy Gallaudet expressed his thanks to His Excellency the SLRB President and all concerned SLRB officials for their cooperation and hospitality.
The meeting was attended by director-general of Resources and IT Systems Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, Survey director-general Naji Sabt and Marine Survey director Rashid Al Suwaidi.
