The President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa received in his office on Thursday 10 March 2016, SLRB member of staff Noorah Al Mannai, on the occasion of obtaining a master's degree from Al Ahlia University for her thesis titled "Bahrain Bourse Companies’ Compliance with International Accounting Standard 16 – Fixed Assets". The importance of this thesis stems from focusing on the study of the impact of international accounting standards on the quality of the financial reports of a number of companies selected from those listed on Bahrain Bourse, encouraging the implementation of the standard and explaining the role of accountants in preparing financial reports and statements.

The idea of ​​the thesis is about the implementation of international accounting standards in the selected companies, considering that most of these companies face challenges because of the current economic conditions, which in turn requires them to find a mechanism that enables them to apply efficiently the international accounting standards.

His Excellency SLRB President praised the researcher’s efforts and the conclusions of her important study, stressing that SLRB will continue its policy of encouraging its members of staff to continue their studies to obtain higher academic degrees. His Excellency wished researcher Noorah Al Mannai more success and achievements in her academic life and work career.
