23 May, 2011 SLRB Organizes QMS Workshop
Within the implementation of the Quality Management System project launched in March 2010 by HE Shaikh Salman bin Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Head of SLRB, Earnest & Young Company, the contractor of the project, organized a workshop in coordination with the Quality management Division on workflow charts, main KPI and object formation. The 2-day workshop was held on 13 -14 October 2010 at the Bureau's meeting hall and was attended by heads of divisions and members of Quality Committee, SLRB, along with representatives from the Directorate of Policies & Planning, Civil Service Bureau.
Ms. Soha Abu-Taha, QMS Consultant, representing Earnest & Young Company, delivered the lecture and explained the workshop objectives; namely, to identify and understand the role and purposes of main performance indicators within the quality assurance system, to understand the characteristics of good performance indicators, and to get acquainted with various performance indicators.
She also discussed the ISO documentation process, workflow charts, and performance design model, in addition to the requirements of documentation and QMS ISO 2008: 9001 documents and records. She also explained the guidelines that should be followed on drawing workflow charts and their advantages and disadvantages.
All participants expressed their satisfaction, and positively interacted with the presentations, applications and case studies presented during the workshop.
