On Monday, 23rd November, Survey and Land Registration Bureau signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ernst & Young, the regional advisory services company in insurance, transactions and taxes, to carry out a project aims at improving the Bureau's information systems services and information security, whereas the latter will provide its advisory services to the Bureau in information security management at SLRB’s headquarters.

HE Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director General of Human Resources and Information Systems said that the project is important to develop the services through improved information systems and information security. "Information System is key to swift delivery of SLRB services to citizens through the application of state-of-the-art technology", he added.

On his part, Mr. Sircant Ranjantin, the Advisory Partner, Ernst & Young, pointed out that the project's main objective is to help the Bureau develop frameworks to set up information security management system, as the first step in its initiatives aiming at developing the confidentiality of information, which allows the Bureau to set frameworks of information taking and relevant risks.

Mr. Ranjantin added that along with the development of protection, confidentiality and accuracy, the most important result of the project is to obtain the ISO certification.

HE Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa stressed that the project will be subject to evaluation, therefore, Ernst & Young will provide advisory services on the design of the project's frameworks, which qualifies the Bureau to obtain the auditors' certification, and this will increase public confidence in its potential and capabilities to communicate with the world through the utilization of Ernst & Young expertise in these fields.
