HE Shaikh Abdullah bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Head of Survey and Land Registration Bureau, received on Thursday morning, November 5, 2009, at his office, Mr. Hamed Abu Al-Fath, Director of Information Systems, Survey and Land Registration Bureau. Mr. Abu Al-Fath presented to HE a certificate of appreciation presented by e-government Authority in recognition of the Bureau’s efforts and role in the success of "the institutional infrastructure for information and communication technology" project. The Authority has recently held ICT workshop attended by Mr. Abu Al-Fath, representing the Bureau. The project objective is to standardize policies, procedures and the foundations of information and communication technologies used by government authorities to enhance investment in infrastructure high-tech and avoid duplication in the implementation of projects. This would improve the performance of technical systems and their contribution to the exchange of information between government authorities, and hence contribute to an integrated and fully-fledged e-government offering high quality services for citizens, expatriates, visitors and employers.

During the meeting, HE Head of SLRB, praised the project and the efforts made by the Directorate of Information Management Systems. HE also stressed the need for continued and constructive participation in all projects and government initiatives that would promote government course of actions and provide better services for citizens and expatriates and all recipients of government services.
