He Head of Survey and Land Registration Bureau announced that the Radio Frequency Identification System (RFID) is projected to be launched soon. RFID is a high-tech system which will improve efficiency to control all transactions carried out by Land Survey Directorate through the automatic identification to locate all documents, case files and the production chain of documentation of registration and any other transactions of the Directorate which will create a specific leap in the quality of public services.

The system aims at minimizing processing stages and consequently expedites procedures through quality control and preventing loss of related files, cases and documents, in addition to trouble-free follow up process to auto-transfer of these files through sensors and state-of-the art computer machines.

HE the Head of SLRB added that the Bureau is on the process of upgrading its systems and directorates in order to provide a better service for the citizens and customers through expediting transactions and maintaining swift and high quality service. This system will gain the satisfaction of citizens and other customers and other government institutions that deal with SLRB. This move is in line with the directives of our wise government and the transformation to e-government in order to keep up with developed countries in e-services.

It is worth mentioning that once RFID is installed at  the Survey Registration Directorate, SLRB will be the first  government body to apply this technology of document control process and procedures in the Middle East.  This has driven specialized companies in this regard to rush for tendering to win the bid to make such precedent as the first company to implement the project in the Middle East.

The implementation of this project requires qualifying and training of SLRB staff as tender shall be made to select a winner to execute the training process to enable staff members to handle this new system and its advanced services.
