01 April, 2010 Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) Organizes a Training Course on Management of Change
Based on the directives of HE Shaikh Salman Bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Head of SLRB and under the follow-up of HE Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director General of Human Resources and Information Systems, the SLRB, in collaboration with Productivity Quality Centre, carried out a training course on Management of Change and its relation with SLRB. Participants included head of departments and seniors in similar positions who attended the training in two groups at the headquarter in Manama where the first group attended the first session on Sunday 17th of February 2009 and the second session for the other group was held on Monday 18th of February 2008.
The course was delivered by the lecturer Mr. Khalid Ahmed Saleh, the General Manager and Consultant of Management Systems for the aforementioned Center. The course aimed at introducing the concept of change, its types, internal and external powers of change, methods of change and motives. The lecturer presented definitions of quality systems and their development stages; in addition to Quality Management System- its objectives, characteristics and classification of problems and techniques of solutions. Then the session arrived at defining the ISO standards, their concepts and their relations with TQM and their role in managing change. All participants expressed satisfaction about the level of the course and the subject matter content which was reflected in the degree of engagement and receptiveness of all participants who wished the repeat of such courses to achieve the desired goals.
The course was organized within the framework of an action plan for the project of implementing Quality Management System at SLRB in coordination with Civil Service Bureau.
