Pursuant to the directives of H.E. Shaikh Salman Bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa, Head of Survey and Land Registration Bureau and with follow up of H.E. Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifah Al Khalifah, Head of Resources and Information Systems, SLRB, in collaboration with Ministry of Finance’s Budget Directorate, SLRB conducted a workshop on the process of State Budget preparation on 19th of February 2008 at its headquarter in Manama. Speakers list includes Najih Salman Al-Tawash and Mr. Salman Mohammad Yasin; all directors and head of concerned sections participated in this event.

The purpose of the workshop is to introduce the state budget to participants, the stages of processing it, mechanism of preparing the budget at various ministries and government bodies, and processing the payments; in addition to preparing financial reports and closing accounts.

At the end of the meeting, the Director General of Resources & IS praised the academic standard of the workshop and participants’ engagement and effective participation. He also expressed his appreciation to the Ministry of Finance in managing the budget and their cooperation which has had a positive impact to bring the workshop to success and achieving desired goals.
