As part of the joint co-operation between the SLRB in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Cadastral Bureau of Her Majesty the Queen of England and Wales, HE Shaikh Salman Bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the SLRB Head, has signed a memorandum of understanding in the British capital with Mr. Peter Collis, the Chief Executive and representative of the Cadastral Bureau in the United Kingdom.

This co-operation is part of the agreement previously concluded between the two sides, which was signed by the SLRB Head with the UK representative, the British Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Robin Lamb, at the SLRB's premises in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The SLRB Head Shaikh Salman Bin Abdulla Al Khalifa expressed his satisfaction over signing the memorandum of understanding, and said the purpose of signing it is to achieve co-operation in order to develop the SLRB in the Kingdom of Bahrain to benefit from the UK's experience in survey and land registration, which has a long experience in this field. The SLRB Head praised the previous visit by the British delegation from the Cadastral Bureau in the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain which gave its vision on how to develop the SLRB.

Asked about the objective behind signing the agreement, Shaikh Salman said developing the SLRB will immensely and directly improve the quality of services provided by the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and eventually benefiting the Kingdom economically and socially in the increasingly investment-friendly climate in the Kingdom under he auspicious and prosperous rule of His Majesty the King, Shaikh Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister and His Highness Shaikh Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince.

The signing ceremonies were attended on the Kingdom of Bahrain's side by HE Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Kingdom of Bahrain's ambassador to the United Kingdom, HE Shaikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Director of Human Resources and Finance and Mr. Ammar Rashid Al Khashram, Head of Maps and Drawings Section.
