His Excellency Engineer Naji Sabt Salem, Director General of Survey, pointed out that the real estate market today has an increasing need to open more private survey offices in order to accelerate the pace of conducting surveys, issuing real estate maps, and expanding various surveying activities.

This statement came during a meeting held at the headquarters of the Engineering Professions Practice Regulation Council between the Survey and Land Registration Bureau and the Council.

Engineer Naji Sabt added that work is currently underway to gradually transfer all surveying operations and map issuance up to the auditing stage to the private sector. He highlighted the esteemed government’s keenness, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to enhance all partnership paths with the private sector, including the provision of certain services, believing in the fundamental role of the private sector as a driver of economic development.

The Director General of Survey mentioned that coordination with the Engineering Professions Practice Regulation Council came based on the directives of His Excellency Sheikh Salman bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, to facilitate the procedures for opening engineering offices for real estate surveying activities and other surveys related to spatial data. This is due to the real estate market’s increasing need for greater partnership with the private sector amid rising demand for these services, driven by the growth of real estate projects, the issuance of large real estate plans, and the increase in real estate transactions and surveying processes carried out by the Survey and Land Registration Bureau.
