Within the framework of continuous and joint coordination and cooperation between the Survey and Land Registration Bureau and the Economic Development Board regarding the National Economic Vision 2030 Project, an induction meeting was held at SLRB on Wednesday June 17th 2009 to identify the role of ministries and governmental institutions in implementing the national economic strategy for the Kingdom of Bahrain for the period 2009 till 2014 , particularly initiatives 5-3-1 which relate directly to SLRB, and pertaining to the review and establishment of laws and regulations required to develop the real estate sector.

At the beginning of the meeting, HE Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Director General of Human Resources and Information Systems welcomed the attendees and praised the pioneer role played by the EDB under the leadership of His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Chairman of Economic Development Board. "We, at SLRB, are geared up to cooperate, communicate and provide all facilities and capabilities to play a direct and constructive role in fulfilling the visions and aspirations of our wise leadership through the National Economic Vision 2030 which has been launched by His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, The King of Bahrain, May God save and protect him ".

Thereafter, Mrs. Merriam Jama’an, Director of Public Sector Development Directorate, Mrs. Sawsan Abdul Karim, Head of Public Sector Development Section and Mr. Abdul Lattif Al Amer, analyst at Public Sector Development Directorate – each in his respective field, presented a brief enlightenment relating to the role of ministries and government institutions in carrying out the national economic strategies and the forthcoming steps to be undertaken following this meeting. The National Economic Strategy for the period from 2009 to 2014 has been developed by all governmental entities in their respective specializations and fields. The National Economic Strategy is divided into three main chapters comprising: the Governmental Strategy, Social Strategy and Economic Strategy.

During the meeting, attendees posted a number of questions, interpositions and constructive remarks. Furthermore, numerous suggestions and recommendations relevant to SLRB and its relationships with other government bodies which will positively serve this pioneer national project.

The meeting was attended by HE Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Director General of Human Resources and Information Systems, His Excellency Eng Nagy Sabt Salem, the Director General of Survey as well as managers and heads of departments of Survey and Land Registration Bureau.
