Property Registration Transaction by Inheritance
Required Documents:
- Original property deed.
- Sharia documentation for the property owner or documentation specifying the applicable Sharia rules.
- Copy of passport or ID card for citizens of GCC countries, and passport for non-citizens of GCC countries, provided they are valid.
Transaction Fees:
- Fees of 5 dinars per transaction are payable.
- A fee of one dinar for each registration form per transaction.
Registration Obstacles:
- Reservation letter on the property from courts under the Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs, preventing transactions on the property (placing an encumbrance), and this is annotated in the records of the Survey and Land Registration Department.
- Annotation in the register regarding litigation related to property rights.
- Decision issued by the Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture prior to property ownership registration.
- Submission of the notarized contract one year after its authentication.
