Property Exchange

Exchange Registration Transaction  

 

Required Documents:

  1. Original documents.
  2. Original notarized property transfer contract.
  3. Copy of passport or national ID for GCC citizens and passport for non-GCC citizens, provided it is valid.

 

Transaction Fees:

  • The market value of each property in the exchange is determined, and a 2% fee is calculated based on the higher property value.
  • Registration form fee of one dinar.

 

Registration Restrictions:

  • A reservation letter on the property from the courts under the Ministry of Justice and Islamic Affairs prohibiting property disposal (encumbrance), which is annotated in the survey and real estate registration records.
  • Annotation in the registry regarding pending litigation related to property rights.
  • Submission of the notarized contract after one year from its notarization.
  • Approval from the Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture before registering property ownership.
