President of SLRB meets with "The Council for Regulating the Practice of Engineering Professions"
His Excellency Eng. Basim Yacob AlHamer, President of the Survey and Land Registration Bureau, held a meeting with Dr. Abdullah Yousif Talib AbdulGhani, Chairperson of the Council for Regulating the Practice of Engineering Professions , in the presence of several council members, at the Bureau’s headquarters.
During the meeting, His Excellency reviewed the Bureau’s experience in cooperating with surveying offices and the positive results achieved from this collaboration, which directly impacted the speed of processing transactions and improved customer satisfaction with the services provided. He emphasized the importance of expanding the existing partnership between the public and private sectors to achieve the desired goals.
His Excellency also highlighted the pivotal role played by the Engineering Professions Regulation Council in coordinating the work of engineering and surveying offices and ensuring their adherence to the approved engineering standards. He commended the council’s efforts in enriching discussions and offering constructive solutions that contribute to the development of the sector.
The meeting also included a discussion on ways to enhance support for surveying offices and provide the necessary facilitation to enable them to complete surveying transactions in the shortest possible time. Additionally, the meeting addressed the current mechanisms and procedures used by the Bureau to organize the relationship between the surveying offices and those responsible for quality control. New concepts were also introduced regarding how to provide further facilitation to surveying offices and develop the legal and regulatory framework governing the relationship between the Bureau and the offices.
